Base section (1) comprises rectangular vacuum tank with opening on wide outward facing flanges (12) on the underside. A flexible rubber skirt is attached to the underside of the flange to form an airtight joint between the ground surface and the tank. The tank contains a sensor which operates a cut out switch connected to the high pressure water source. In the event of the airtight seal not being satisfactory, a Venturi assembly (15) above the tank is connected by means of a supply pipe (17) to an air compressor (not shown) and causes a vacuum to be formed in the tank through an adjoining aperture. The vacuum serves to clamp the total assembly to the ground during operation. A supporting framework is constructed on the top of the vacuum tank and contains a chain gear assembly, guide rails and 4 idler pullies. This assembly causes a reciprocation motion to be transmitted to the spraying frame arm (4) and attached high pressure equipment. A flexible high pressure hose (8) is connected to a source of high pressure liq. (not shown). The outlet end connects to a tubular spray pipe (5) connected the spraying frame arm (4). Beneath the tubular spray pipe is a jet (6) which delivers a high pressure stream of liq. (7) onto the concrete surface (16), causing efficient demolition of the concrete surface. For safety of the operating personnel the equipment will be remotely controlled. ADVANTAGE - Can be used in vertical surfaces. Is of lightweight construction.
