The burner tube of a gas burner of a blow-lamp or similar appts is fitted with a turbine. The turbine body has a middle part (7) which tapers in the direction of the gas nozzle. Vanes (4) are attached to this middle part. These vanes (4) are inclined at an angle of between 5 and 15 deg with the turbine axis. The vane (4) together with the inner wall of the burner tube impart a swirling motion to the mixture of gas and air flowing through the burner tube. The turbine body is made of brass or ceramic.
