PURPOSE:To conduct a teaching simply and correctly by a method wherein an indication light projection part emitting an indication light for indicating a position to which an ink is to be sprayed is provided on a head of an ink jet printer. CONSTITUTION:In a teaching operation, a printed wiring board serving as a body to be printed 1 is loaded, and an indication light is projected from an indication light projection part D provided on a head 2 correspondingly to a position to which an ink is to be sprayed. While the projection is visually identified, the teaching operation is conducted, such as a transverse-direction teaching, a longitudinal-direction teaching, and a teaching of a rotational angle of the head 2. After the completion of the teaching, printing is applied to the body to be printed 1. In this manner, the teaching can be conducted while a printing position for printing the body to be printed is determined based on an indication using a light. Thus, the teaching can be simply carried out without the need for teaching with an actual printing action. |
