KNOCKING SENSING DEVICE AND ENGINE CONTROL DEVICE

PURPOSE:To provide possibility of judging eventual generation of knocking even under high-load and high speed operation by determining at least two frequency components contained in the output of vibration sensor from the result of digital frequency analysis. CONSTITUTION:When a signal from a vibration sensor 151 is fed to a control unit 9, an A/D converter 30 converts the output signal of the vibration sensor 151 into digital value. A CPU 29 accommodates in a RAM 32 the digital value sampled according to a program stored in a ROM 31 and conducts frequency analysis on the basis of the stored data. At least two resonance frequency components contained in the output of the vibration sensor 151 are determined, and eventual occurrence of knocking is judged complexly. This enables judgement by discriminating vibration due to generation of knocking from background vibrations even in the case where they become very large under high load and high speed running state to permit eventual occurrence of knocking.
