Conical bags are produced from a continuous strip (3) of a double layer of a thermo-plastic. The strip (3) is guided between two endless belts (6, 7) under two welding and cutting heads (1, 2). These cutting heads are aligned obliquely in opposite directions to a plane transverse to the longitudinal direction of the strip (3). The strip is thus cut into trapeziums with the cut edges of the upper and lower layers welded together. The endless belts (6) and (7) are guided by pulleys so that they are not in the way of the welding and cutting heads. USE - Mfr. of conical bags from plastics film.
