PURPOSE:To record data on a magnetic disc or drum with a high density by vertical magnetization, by allowing a main magnetic pole energized magnetic head, where the magnetic pole face is formed to a shape like a narrow stripe, to approach a magnetic layer where a soft magnetic materials layer is used as the base materials layer. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic layer 1 is formed as a medium on a soft magnetic materials layer 7 through a high-permeability layer 2 by coating or sputtering. The soft magnetic materials layer 7 constitutes a magnetic drum or a magnetic disc and is used as a substrate also and disperses the magnetic flux passing through itself. A main magnetic pole 6 of a magnetic head has the magnetic pole face formed with thin and high-permeability materials to raise the density of magnetic flux, and the magnetic flux is dispersed through the magnetic layer 1 by the high-permeability materials layer 2 and the soft magnetic materials layer 7; and otherwise, a nonmagnetic materials layer 8 is provided between the high- permeability materials layer 2 and the soft magnetic materials layer 7. Thus, data is recorded on not only a thin magnetic tape or flexible disc but also a magnetic disc and a magnetic drum by vertical magnetization. |
