<p>PURPOSE: To provide the subject machine, equipped with a rapier guide which includes at least two series of guide elements for guiding the rapiers in the shed, wherein the guide elements situated closest to the reed are arranged, in all positions of the sley, underneath the plane formed by the undersides of the rapiers so that the sley and rapiers move while overlapping, each other, to cope with increased speed of the machine. CONSTITUTION: This machine guides a rapier 1 into a shed 4 in such a way that the upper side 26 of the first guide element 20, situated close to the reed 11 in the vicinity of the shed 4 end and arranged, in all positions of the sley 10, underneath the plane formed by the underside 23 of the rapier 1, comes into contact with the underside 23 of the rapier 1 as the sley 10 moves backward, and, when the sley 10 comes to the rearmost position, captures the rectangular end 24 of the rapier 1 by the U-shaped cavity 25 of the second guide element 21. The above motion is reversed, when the sley 10 again moves forward from the rearmost position.</p> |
