<p>PURPOSE:To attain conversion to a standard TV signal without missing of information of a high definition TV signal by providing a signal selection means and a control signal generating means. CONSTITUTION:A high definition TV signal from a terminal 10 is inputted to a pre-processor 21, in which an output video signal A of a unit delay element 214 is fed to one input of a selector 215 and an output video signal B of the unit delay element 217 is fed to the other input of the selector 215. The selector 215 is controlled by a control signal C generated from a sychronizing controller 29 and an output video signal D is fed to a scanning line number time axis converter 30. The circuit 30 uses a field memory 31 to apply the conversion of scanning line number and time base. That is, the number of scanning lines is converted into the number of scanning lines of the standard TV signal with thinning by using a control signal E generated from the circuit 29 and one horizontal scanning time is converted (F) into one horizontal scanning time of the standard TV signal.</p> |
