PURPOSE: To improve reliability of an inspection of sealing ability by controlling a test cycle for inspecting sealing ability of each valve in a brake circuit so that the inspection is performed except when a brake pedal is actuated. CONSTITUTION: Brake pressure adjusters 10, 11, and 12 are placed corresponding to each of wheel brakes 6, 7, and 8, 9 in two brake circuits I, II connected with a tandem master cylinder 3, and a brake conduit cut-off valve 23 is added to the brake pressure adjusters 10, 11. Control connecting openings 24 and 42 of the brake pressure adjusters 10, 11, and 12 are respectively connected to a delivery side of a servo pressure source 18 through valves 25, 26, 49, and to a suction side of the servo pressure source 18 through valves 27, 28, 51. Sealing ability is inspected with a control device 17 for recognizing leak probably caused by contamination of each valve, and in this case, a test cycle is set to be performed except when a brake pedal 5 is actuated.
