<p>PURPOSE:To realize an ASIC using a microcomputer in a short time, by a small development effort and at a small cost by installing a control means which selectively couples a microcomputer core and a logic circuit with shared peripheral circuits. CONSTITUTION:At an ASIC(application-specific integrated circuit), a mode signal which is used to set this integrated circuit device to a test mode (MCU test mode) of a microcomputer core 2 and to a test mode (R/L test mode) of a random logic circuit 3 is given to a mode-signal input circuit 9. That is to say, at the MCU test mode, shared terminal circuits 4 and selective-use terminal circuits 5 are coupled with only the microcomputer core (ASIC) 2. At the R/L test mode, the shared terminal circuits 4 and the selective-use terminal circuits 5 are coupled with only the random logic circuit 3. Since the microcomputer core 2 and the logic circuit 3 can individually be tested in this manner, the microcomputer-core ASIC can be realized in a short time, by a small development effort and at a low cost.</p> |
