PURPOSE:To suppress the deterioration in the off characteristic of switching element by using polyimide contg. the diamine component of a nonarom. system. CONSTITUTION:Thus liquid crystal panel is constituted by forming the polyimide film as a liquid crystal oriented film on a substrate provided with the switching elements for each of picture elements. This film is formed of the polyimide contg. the diamine of the nonarom. system as the diamine component. A polymer formed by condensation polymn. of the acid anhydride component of formula I and the diamine component of formula II is usable for this polyimide.
