PURPOSE:To provide the fixing device which is short in waiting time, is low in electric power consumption and does not generate offsetting by using the toner into which a specific binder resin is incorporated and pressurizing a recording material via a film onto a heating body. CONSTITUTION:The binder resin to be incorporated into the toner 29 to be used is a polymer consisting of >=1 kinds of alpha, beta -unsatd. ethylenic monomers. The toner having the properties of 10<3> to 10<6> poise viscosity at the 50% outflow point by an elevated flow tester and <=1.0 ln (poise)/ deg.C absolute value of inclina tion of the graph at the 50% outflow point when the logarithm of the melt viscosity is plotted with respect to temp. is used. Further, the release component in the toner is incorporated at 0.1 to 20 wt.% by the weight of the total binder resin into the toner. The recording material is pressurized under 4 to 20kg line pressure via the film 24 onto the wire-shaped heating body 20 of a low heat capacity and is thereby fixed. |
