PURPOSE:To prevent the reflected light of the light projected from the front end part of a light guide from being hindered by a sleeve and from troubling a CCD image pickup sensor by adhering the sleeve which is notched in a part of the front end part to the outer periphery of the terminal part of an optical fiber bundle and polishing the front end face of the adhered terminal. CONSTITUTION:This method consists in eliminating the trouble that the reflected light of the light L projected from the front end part 103 of the light guide 101 falls onto the metallic sleeve 104 in the terminal part 102 of the light guide 101 and disturbs the reading by the CCD image pickup sensor 105. Namely, a required number of the optical fibers are inserted into the cylindrical sleeve 2 having a prescribed sectional shape to arrange is a prescribed shake and the optical fibers are internated by an adhesive agent. After the adhesive agent cures, the front end face of the optical fiber bundle is cleanly polished and thereafter, the front end part of the sleeve 2 on the outer periphery in the terminal part is partly removed from the terminal part of the optical fiber bundle. The front end part of the sleeve 2 on the outer periphery of the terminal part is otherwise fully removed. A material which does not securely adhere to the adhesive agent is used for the part to be removed. |
