PURPOSE:To enable peak cut of power without sacrifice of comfortableness of air conditioning by continuously operating an air-conditioner with a rate lower than predetermined percentage of the rated capacity, based on a command signal provided from a demand device, when air conditioning power is cut below the demand power under peak load. CONSTITUTION:Voltage V1 to be determined by voltage devision through a room temperature thermister 9 and a resistor 10 and voltage V2 of a room temperature setting potentiometer 11 are subjected to digital conversion through an A/D converter 8, then the digitally converted voltages are fed to a digital control 7 which controls the driving voltage and frequency of an AC motor 4 through an inverter 3 according to the magnitude of differential voltage V=(V1-V<2>) thus rotating a compressor 5. An external input terminal 16 from a demand alarm is additionally provided, and its analog voltage(Vk) is subjected to digital conversion through the A/D converter 8 and fed to the control section 7. Vk sets the upper limit of driving voltage and frequency through the inverter 3, and the driving voltage and frequency to be controlled according to the V under normal temperature control are monitored so that operation is clamped below a predetermined rate of rated capacity. |
