<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a temperature sensor for an air flowmeter which permits measurement of an average flow rate within a measuring tube with excellent heat response and is made hear to break by vibrations and impacts by arranging a thermosensitive element on a substrate to a distance more than a half of a diameter of the tube toward the center thereof from a wall of the tube. CONSTITUTION:A temperature sensor 1 has alumina, the surface of which is covered with glass, as base body and a thermosensitive sensor 2 is arranged to a distance more than a half of a diameter of a measuring tube toward the center thereof from a wall of the tube. For example, when an inner diameter of the measuring tube 6 is 60 mm, dimensions of the temperature sensor are 2X40 mm and a thermosensitive element 2 of 1.5X35 mm is provided thereon. An electrode 3 is provided at both ends of the thermosensitive element 2 and a lead is connected thereto by soldering. In this manner, a flow velocity can be measured at parts in the vicinity of a wall surface from near the center within the tube. This enables measurement of an average flow rate within the tube by averaging the results while making the sensor hard to break by impacts and vibrations.</p> |
