PURPOSE:To ensure the extremely natural distance sense by applying a gradated mask image in order to smoothly synthesize the boundary part between the front and back images. CONSTITUTION:The front image data 22 is matched with the back image data 23 via the mask image data 24, and a prescribed gradation process is applied to these synthesized image data for acquisition of the totally gradated image data. At the same time, the gradated mask image data is obtained by applying a prescribed gradation process to the entire data 24. Then the gradated front image data is obtained by producing the product of picture element information between corresponding picture elements. Then a prescribed inversion process is applied to the gradated mask image data for production of the product of picture element information between the picture elements corresponding to the data 23. The gradated synthetic image data 25 is obtained by securing the sum of picture element information between the picture elements corresponding to the totally gradated image data. As a result, a 3-dimensional image is obtained only when the image data are synthesized. |
