The body panel can be inserted, as part of the couch top, into a treatment couch intended for radiation therapy. It consists of an H-shaped frame (1) with two parallel spars (2, 3) which are connected to one another by means of a middle web (4). The supporting surfaces (5, 6) separated by the middle web are equipped with a transparent string covering (7, 8) which is anchored solely to the two spars (2, 3). The outer edges of the body panel which are parallel to the middle web (4) of the frame are free of radiation-absorbing frame parts, so that dynamic radiation treatment is possible without interruption when the radiation direction changes from one side of the panel surface to the other. |
