LARGE-SCREEN DISPLAY DEVICE

摘要

PURPOSE:To prevent the unevenness of brightness and the irregularity of color in a large screen by converting an image by a transmission type liquid crystal element to the flux of collimated beam of light by means of a Fresnel lens and projecting it to a screen in contact with the lens. CONSTITUTION:Emitted light from the light source of the lamp house 1 of a display module 10 is transmitted through the transmission type liquid crystal element 2 which is controlled in accordance with an image signal. The image light being the transmitted light is made incident on the Fresnel lens 4 and converted to the flux of collimated beam of light, then projected to the screen by the lens 4. Then, plural same modules 10 are combined to make the large screen displayed.The directivity 6 of the light is in an identical direction and is not changed at the joint of the screen, so that the unevenness of the brightness of display caused by the rapid change of the brightness is prevented and the irregularity of color is prevented by controlling the each color light transmissivity of the element 2 by adjusting bias voltage which is supplied to the element 2.
