PURPOSE: To provide high conductivity and temp. stability and an electrolytic capacitor which does not cause corrosion by placing a spacer composed of a quaternary ammonium salt of carboxylic acid, salt-formable carboxylic acid additive and butilolactone solvent between an anode and cathode foils. CONSTITUTION: Toγ-butilolactone to be a solvent a salt-formable carboxylic acid (maleic acid for ammonium tetraethyl hydrogen maleate) is added to adjust to a pH of 5-7, and hence this electrolyte liq. has no corrosion action, a conductivity of 6-15mS/cm and concn. of ammonium tetraethyl hydrogen maleate in a range of 0.25 to 0.8mol per kg of the liq. To adjust the pH value, it is sufficient that maleic acid be added 2% in general. This corresponds to 0.005-0.16mol/kg.
