PURPOSE:To form light shielding patterns having sharp shapes on the color filters by separating the light shielding patterns to patterns of simple shapes at the time of printing and forming the patterns by each one kind on a substrate surface. CONSTITUTION:The pattern of Fig. (a) is separated to Figs, (c) and (d). The patterns are then printed in the direction of the arrow of Fig. (c) an a substrate 45. The patterns are likewise printed in the direction of the arrow of Fig. (d) on the substrate 46. Since these patterns are printed in the longitudinal direction of the patterns, there is no thickening of the line width. The substrates 45 and 46 are then superposed as shown in Fig. (e), by which the light shielding patterns are synthesized and completed. The contrast ratio is increased in this way without lowering the opening rate a screen and without generating unequal luminance. |
