PURPOSE:To alleviate an external influence exerted on an object to be packed by a method wherein an opening part of the recess of a foam molding is formed into a trapezoidal shape facing toward the surface of the object and air in the recess is moved to the other places without any resistance if the molding is deformed by an external force. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin foam molding 9 is interposed between an object 7 to be packed and the inner wall of a packing case 8 to alleviate an external influence exerted on the object. To accomplish this, this molding 9 is a foaming product molded in a die from synthetic resin refoaming particles with all of the main wall parts formed into a nearly constant thickness. From a cross-sectional view taken on along the longitudinal axis of the molding in the thickness direction, the contour dipicted by tracing the inner parts of the wall body of the molding with the opening part thereof as the base indicates a container-shaped molding having a recess where at least one of nearly trapezoidal spaces exists. If the opening part of this recess is arranged facing toward the surface of the object and the molding is deformed by an external force exerted thereon, air in the recess of the molding is brought into such condition as to be freely movable to the other places without being subjected to any substantial resistance. |
