PURPOSE:To obtain a circuit breaker with insulation resistance between magnetic plates secured and having a highly reliable arc suppressing chamber by a method wherein the width of an opening of a groove is made wider than the thickness of an arc suppressing magnetic plate as well as the arc suppressing magnetic plate is engaged with the opening of the groove and its opposite face with slits. CONSTITUTION:The width of openings 32a to 37a of grooves 32 to 37 provided on the opposite faces 10, 11 to supporting members 8, 9 is wider than the thickness of a magnetic plate 41 as well as the magnetic body 41 is engaged with the grooves 32 to 27 with slits so that it is not directly in contact with the openings 32a to 37a of the grooves 32 to 37 and the opposite faces of the supporting members 8, 9. Thus even if the opposite faces 10, 11 deteriorate in insulation due to arc, insulation resistance between magnetic plates 41 can be secured as well as a circuit breaker provided with a highly reliable arc suppressing chamber can be obtained. |
