In a process for inspecting wooden boards which in V- shaped bays are transported on an assessment conveyor of the so-called shark-fin type past an inspection station, the operator denotes to which one of two most common quality grades the wooden board belongs by causing the wooden board to leave the inspection station in forward- sloping position, i.e. in contact with the front limit of the bay, where the one quality grade is concerned, and in backward-sloping position, i.e. in contact with the rear limit of the bay, where the second quality grade is concerned, the sloping position of the wooden board being subsequently detected by a sloping position sensor the output signals of which are fed into an electronic unit. <IMAGE> |
