In a method for reducing the deterioration of nozzles or other delivery members used for fine dispersion of a slurry, which consists of a water-suspended particulate absorbent, in a reactor 5 for separating off gaseous compounds from flue gas containing fly ash, the flue gas is introduced with a large part of its fly ash into the reactor, where the finely dispersed slurry is delivered to and mixed with the flue gas. Here, the water and the reaction products formed are evaporated, and unreacted absorbent and fly ash are separated off as a dry powder from the flue gas in the reactor 5 and/or in a downstream filter 13, after which a proportion of this separated-off material is graded to form a first fraction with fine particles and a second fraction with coarse particles, only the first fraction being returned to the reactor for renewed use. Before this part of the separated-off material is introduced into the reactor, it is suspended in water. <IMAGE> |
