PURPOSE:To prevent oxidation of a recording layer caused by natural light, without causing deterioration of characteristics intrinsic to the recording layer, by providing a method of cutting off such a beam that has undesirable wavelength for recording or reproducing from the recording layer. CONSTITUTION:The recording layer 2, 2 comprising org. dye material are formed on substrates 1a, 1b, respectively, by spin coating. The org. dye material has high absorbance for light of certain wavelength, and an desirable light beam having wavelength except for the wavelength of light used for recording/ reproducing can be cut off from the recording layer. Thereby, the recording layer is free from oxidation caused by natural light. Thus, oxidation of the recording layer due to light can be prevented and the obtd. medium is free from secular deterioration or reflectance due to natural light. |
