PURPOSE:To improve mechanical strength, thermal impact resistance corrosion resistance of a corrosion resistant jig for molten iron and steel by forming the jig from a sintered body of mixture of specific composition. CONSTITUTION:A molten metal resistant jig is made of a sintered body of mixture composed of 35 - 89 wt. part ZrB, 5 - 25 wt. part BN, 1 - 20 wt. part AlN, 5 - 20 wt. part MoSi2 and/or ZrSi2. Consequently, the corrosion resistant jig for molten iron and steel excellent in strength, thermal impact resistance and corrosion resistance can be obtained. |
