Device for placing labels on textile webs. The labels are supplied individually from a label dispenser and transferred by the device to a sewing station or the like. The transfer station is constructed so that the labels are conveyed automatically to the processing station, such as a stitching installation or the like, correctly positioned for subsequent processing. Hence, there is no waste due to incorrectly placed labels. The label dispenser has a label gripper which pushes the detached label (11) over a metal guide plate (4) mounted on the device and under a double-skid carriage (2). The label (11) is correctly positioned on the textile web which moves continuously or discontinuously over a base plate (11). A sensor (10) mounted beneath the base plate (1) co-operates with a metal contact plate (9) which rubs against the textile web (1), and sends a signal to the label gripper for release of label (11). The guide carriage (2) can be pressed against the textile web (12) by means of a leaf spring (3). |
