PURPOSE:To eliminate unnecessary output by providing a page sensor, buffer control part, and monitor counter and deleting print data before output which are still in a buffer when the output is interrupted and the output of another sequence is started. CONSTITUTION:An operator interrupts operation by an operation part 17 while monitoring a page sensor 10a. Print data transferred so far is stored in a page buffer 3 and read out to a write scanning system 4 successively. At the same time, the print data is monitored by a page buffer control circuit 12 and every time one page of data is inputted, a counter 13 goes up by one. The page sensor 11, on the other hand, monitors a transfer image and the counter 13 goes down by one every time one page is completed. Therefore, the value of the counter at the time of interruption corresponds to the number of pages remaining in the buffer 3. When receiving the erasure command of the buffer 3, the control circuit 12 deletes initializes the buffer 3 and counter 13 and also reports the value of the counter 13 to a host device as the number of pages before output. Then, the output of another system data is restarted. |
