<p>PURPOSE:To detect the change in sleeping state with high accuracy and to comfortably and surely awake a user by using a sleep exponent in which the increase/decrease tendency of the number of pulses and the number of breathing and its hourly fluctuation are incorporated. CONSTITUTION:The number of pulses H(t), the reference number of pulses Hr, a moving mean value A(t), and a sleep exponent S(t) are inputted to a sleeping state deciding part 12. The sleeping state is classified based on the sleep exponent S(t), and when the sleep exponent S(t) is '0', the state is decided as a non-rem sleeping period, and in a section in which the sleep exponent S(t) is '1', the number of pulses H(t) or the moving mean value A(t) and the reference number of pulses Hr are compared. When the reference number of pulses Hr is larger in the half or above of values in the section, it is decided to be a rem sleeping period, and if not so, it is decided to be an awakening period. As for the sleep exponent S(t), the rem seeping period and the awakening period are 1 and 2, respectively, and by the processing for setting the time within a prescribed time TR after the rem sleeping period is ended as the latter term of the rem sleeping period, the change in sleeping state can be detected with high accuracy.</p> |
