PURPOSE:To improve the operability of an image forming device such as a copying machine and shorten the time required for selecting the desired sheet size by providing a sheet size control means reading the preferential sheet size from a memory means and selecting the preferential sheet size regardless of the present sheet size. CONSTITUTION:An operator concurrently pushes a P key 4 and a sheet size selecting key 1 to select the preferential sheet size. When a CPU 11 receives these inputs, it reads the preferential sheet size registered in a memory unit 12 and instantly selects the preferential sheet size regardless of the present sheet size.
