PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of the difference in driving speed between paper feeding systems and a scanning system regardless of the position of a means housing a recording medium by providing a control means which controls a scanning and driving means for each housing means so that the feeding speed of the paper feeding means coincides with the driving speed of the scanning and driving means. CONSTITUTION:A cassette selecting means 79 selects a fed recording medium P among plural housing means 56, and the selected recording medium P is fed by the paper feeding means 57 and 58. On the other hand, an original D set to an original platen 41 by the scanning means 46 driven by the scanning and driving means 100 is scanned, and an image is formed on the fed recording medium P with the aid of an obtained picture signal. At this time, a control part 74 controls the scanning and driving means 100 for each housing means 56 so that the paper feeding speed of the paper feeding means 57 and 58 coincides with the driving speed of the scanning and driving means 100. thus, the occurrence of the difference in the driving speed between the paper feeding systems and the scanning system can be prevented regardless of the position of the means housing the recording medium. |
