<p>A magnetic card-type switch which operates with a magnetic card for switching it on and off, keeping it on, or opening its casing. This switch comprises casing means (1, 22) attached to the wall of a building, sliders (9-1, 9-2) held in the casing means and slidable in a predetermined direction, a plurality of magnetic lock pins (21) contained in a plurality of holes (10) of predetermined codes of said sliders, means (13) for urging said sliders forward, a plurality of holes (8) of predetermined codes that are arranged in said along the sliders to receive ends of the magnetic lock pins, slider lock means (7) for locking said sliders at the forward slid position or the backward slid position, and a switch (24) arranged to correspond to said slider. Usually, the sliders are under the locked condition at the forward slid position in which ends of predetermined lock pins are received by the lock means. When a first magnetic card (31) is inserted in the casing means, the lock pins of said slider are moved responsive to magnetic codes of the card and are unlocked; i.e., the sliders slide to the backward slid position to change the switch (24) from off to on or from on to off. At the backward slid position, furthermore, the lock pins of said sliders are locked again and the sliders are held at the backward slid position. Even after the first magnetic card (31) is removed, therefore, the switch is maintained turned on or off.</p> |
