PURPOSE:To improve the moisture resistance of a piezoelectric actuator by filling a space surrounding the lamination type piezoelectric actuator with a petroleum wax. CONSTITUTION:Two opposed rigid bodies 1 and 2, flexible members 3 and 4 connecting the rigid bodies 1 and 2, respectively, projections 5 and 6 projected from the rigid bodies into a space 9 surrounded by the rigid bodies and the flexible members and a lamination type piezoelectric actuator 7 composed of the alternate lamination of piezoelectric members and electrodes and mounted between the projections are provided. Since the space 9 surrounding the actuator 7 is filled with the petroleum wax (Microcrystan Wax) W, the lamination face of the actuator 7 is in a condition wherein the face is coated by the petroleum wax W. The petroleum wax W has an excellent non-hygroscopicity and moisture in surrounding atmosphere does not attach to the actuator 7, thereby preventing the actuator 7 from being damaged by moisture. |
