PURPOSE:To improve the balance among hot-water resistance, Young's modulus, and refractive index by compounding a polyurethane poly(meth)acrylate obtd. from a specific polyol component with specific monofunctional acrylates, and a photopolymn. initiator. CONSTITUTION:20-95 pts.wt. polyurethane poly(meth)acrylate is compounded with 5-80 pts.wt. mixture of a monofunctional acrylate of formula I (wherein R1 and R2 are each H or CH3; and (n) is 1-5) with a monofunctional acrylate of formula II (wherein R1, R2, and R3 are each H or CH3), and a photopolymn. initiator. The polyurethane poly(meth)acrylate is obtd. by reacting a polyisocyanate having at least two isocyanate groups in the molecule, a mixture of a polytetramethylene ether glycol having a mol.wt. of at least 500 with an amide-hydroxyl compd. having at least one amide group and an isocyanate- reactive hydroxyl group in the molecule, and a hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate. |
