<p>A method of treating exhaust gas, wherein exhaust gas is passed through a catalyst layer at an areal velocity ranging from 100 to 5000 m3/m2.hr so that carbon monoxide is selectively generated from particulates contained in the exhaust gas and is used for removing nitrogen oxide in the exhaust gas. According to this method, only passing of exhaust gas through the catalyst layer at a specific areal velocity enables easy and sure removal of particulates and nitrogen oxide which are two major causes of air pollution.</p> |
