The invention relates to a method of cleaning soils contaminated by pollutants. In this method, the soil structure, without transporting the soil to the surface, is progressively loosened in each case inside at least one largely cylindrical soil body by means of a liquid introduced under high pressure. Apart from loosening the soil, the liquid also serves as a carrier and transport medium for at least one effective substance working and/or transforming the respective pollutant in situ. In this way, the effective substances, even in inhomogeneous soil structures, are uniformly distributed inside the respectively treated soil body (B) and are taken to the pollutants. <IMAGE> |
