Profiled natural or synthetic rubber sealing strip - fits in groove around tunnel segments even where large cracks and packing occur

A profiled sealer (2) is made of natural or synthetic rubber to fit in a groove around a tunnel segment. The sealer (2) has splayed sides (8, 9) which are squeezed inwards as the sealer is pressed into the groove. In each half of the sealer in cross section there is a system of ribs (A, B) running straight and full length of the sealer, whereby the outer rib (A) is so positioned that the channel (6, 7) between ribs (A) and (B) is V shaped. USE/ADVNATAGE - A good seal is ensured even with large cracks and packing.
