Compounds effective in enhancing the cholinergic activity, represented by general formula (I), and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, methods for the preparation thereof, and pharmaceutical composition containing the same, wherein R<1> represents an optionally halogenated lower alkyl, aryl, aryl (lower) alkoxy, or heterocyclic group; R<2> represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group; R<3> represents an optionally halogenated cyclo (lower) alkyl, aryl or aryl (lower) alkyl group; A represents -CO-, -SO2- or a lower alkylene group; and Y represents -CO-, -SO2- or -CONH-.
