Clean-out device for partly full sewers - with pneumatic transport through hoses on polyurethane foam floats

Partly filled sewage ducts (3) can be cleaned by an appliance (2) which is introduced through a drain manhole (6,7). The appliance carries a vibrating rake and receives compressed air from a compressor (5) via the hose (17) to take the stirred up mud through a hose (8) to a tanker (1). A rope (10) on a winch (4) and a tail rope (11) pull the appliance to and fro. The hose (9) acts as an overflow. The hoses are kept afloat by slabs (16), attached every 3 m and made of PU foam, pref. in a semicylindrical shape. ADVANTAGE - Permits stretches of over 100 m length to be easily cleaned out in spite of the heavy wt. of the hoses.
