PURPOSE:To provide a needle-punched carpet composed of polyester short fibers, containing a specific amount or a flat fiber having a specific flatness and high bulkiness and capable of being heat-treated without causing the degradation of the surface to a state like a fur of water rat. CONSTITUTION:A needle-punched carpet suitable as a carpet for automobile, etc., is produced by forming a nonwoven fabric with short fibers containing >=60% (based on the constituent fibers) of a polyester fiber (preferably polyethylene terephthalate fiber) and >=30% (based on the constituent fibers) of a thick denier flat fiber having a flatness of 2-6 and having a single fiber fineness of preferably 10-30de. |
