PURPOSE: To obtain a product showing silver color or a metallic appearance even if a metal is not used by making a polymer body contain alternately a sufficient number of layers of different kinds of polymer materials different in refractive index by >=0.03 from each other to reflect >=30% of incident light. CONSTITUTION: The reflection polymer body composed of at least different kinds of a 1st and a 2nd polymer materials contains alternately the layers of different kinds of the polymer materials different in refractive index to reflect >=30% of light made incident on an object. Almost of the individual layer has <=0.09μm or >=0.45μm optical thickness. It is preferable that >=75% of the individual layer has at least >=0.09μm optical thickness. Further in such a case, the refractive index of the 1st and the 2nd polymer materials is controlled to be different by >=0.03 from each other. The multilayer polymer body obtained in this way shows silver metallic appearance by reflecting substantially white light. |
