PURPOSE: To adjustably limit backlash between parts threadedly fitted each other by providing a means for allowing a part to interact with a screw body to limit the amount of backlash peculiar to looseness of screwing-in and fitting. CONSTITUTION: This screw adjustment mechanism is provided with a threaded stainless steel shaft 1 threadedly fitting in two threaded bronze bushings 3, 5. A steel coil spring 7 is installed between the bushings 3, 5. The bushings are arranged closely in a hole 19 of a part 9 which can be freely moved longitudinally as an aluminum alloy-ink fountain blade. Set screws 11, 13 screwed into the part 9 are engaged with the bushings 3, 5 respectively to support them not to move relative to the part 9. The screw adjustment mechanism is adjusted in relation to backlash before it is finally assembled. Thus, backlash can be limited. |
