Ignition system for IC engine - has combustion chamber fitted with heat exchangers to ignite charge

The IC engine has the ignition of the charge brought about by a heat exchanger (6) mounted in the combustion chamber (1). The combustion chamber (1) also encloses a mixing tube (2), a deflector (3), which forms part of the piston crown, a deflector duct (4) and mixing nozzle (5). The heat exchanger (6) receives heat from the hot gases produced during the previous working stroke and then gives out heat to ignite the fuel at the end of the following compression stroke. This type of engine ensures that the fuel is fully evaporated to ensure complete combustion so that no unburnt fuel residues are discharged to the atmosphere in the exhaust gases. USE/ADVANTAGE - IC engine with fuel evaporator and igniter system in cylinder head giving complete combustion.
