PURPOSE: To prevent leaks of liquid or gas, and omission of a seal material by retaining the annular seal provided with stripes in a first cavity when a first pipe element having the first cavity at its end part and a second pipe element having a second cavity at its end part, are separated. CONSTITUTION: A pipe connector with threaded seal is composed of a first pipe element 10 having a first cavity 30 adjacent to a center bore 31, a second pipe element 11 having a second cavity 36 adjacent to a center bore 32, and annular seals 26 which are attached in the first and second cavities 30, 36 to prevent leaks in a junction between both the pipe elements 10, 11. The annular seal 26 is provided with stripes 40a having radially outer points 42 which are pressed against the first cavity 30 to retain the annular seal 26 in the first cavity 30 when the pipe elements are separated. As a result, ommission or loss of the seal can be prevented when the pipe elements are separated. |
