The timepiece displaying the daily and annual movement of the sun, moon, planets and stars has mechanical or quartz clockwork for wristwatch, pocket, table, mantlepiece, wall or standing clock. It consists of three independent basic types combinable as desired. The sun clock shows the daily course of the sun according to the time of year against the background of starts in the sky. The moon clock shows the daily and annual movement of the moon as well as its exact phase through a spherical shape. Two radical movements at right angles to each other are combined. A circulating masking ring is used in another moon clock for indication in flat form. The ring serves as a carrier for the phases of the moon presented by overlapping interval jumps. ADVANTAGE - Clear, easily understandable astronomical information displayed on ordinary type timepiece without sacrificing scientific accuracy.
