PURPOSE:To enable to utilize the same ROM in common for various kinds of vehicles by a method wherein a coefficient setting section, setting a gear ratio coefficient as an amount of electricity, and a means A/D converting this output, are added in the control system making the operating condition of the engine at its optimum. CONSTITUTION:An overall gear ratio coefficient is varied since the diameter of tire or the like are different depending on the kind of vehicle even if the gear ratio of a change gear is the same, therefore, a corresponding relation between the A/D converted value of the coefficient setting section output and the gear ratio coefficient is memorized into an ROM18 as a table, the output from an A/D convertor 14 in an output/input unit 5 is utilized as the address input of the ROM18, and whereby the corresponding gear ratio coefficient is read out at a digital operation processor 6. Here, whether the gear position of the change gear is the predetermined position or not is decided by comparing a value, figured out by multiplying the gear ratio coefficient and a revolution number detecting value, with an actual vehicle speed, and thus the control, making the operating condition of the engine at its optimum, is effected utilizing the position of the gear as a control parameter. |
