The injector packing bolt has a hole thorugh the axial centre and a press nipple for injection of fluid packing material. The bolt (1) has a tapered threaded end (3) inserted in a similarly threaded internally tapered sleeve (2). As the bolt is screwed up the sleeve is forced to expand and tighten against the sides of the borehole. USE/ADVANTAGE - An injector packing bolt can be anchored in any position along the borehole.
