Damping arrangement for valves in IC engine - makes use of conical bodies to avoid need for anti-knock agents

The valve impact damper is for valves in an IC engine. It has dampers with fixed conical and/or cylinder column recesses (2). Cones (5) and/or upright columns (4) working in both stroke directions and a valve plate damper (9) working in the opening direction move in and out of the recesses. USE/ADVANTAGE - Valve damping arrangement in IC engine which does not require lubrication by environmentally harmful anti-knock agents and which minimises wear and noise.
