PURPOSE:To prevent a mist from being sprayed on a wall and furniture and to perform even moistening by a method wherein the discharge port of a moistening device is automatically rotated, and an obstruction placed in the discharge direction of a mist is detected to stop discharge of a mist or rotate reverse by the discharge port. CONSTITUTION:Water is stored in a water tank 11 from a tank 8, placed to a body 4 of a moistening device, through a check valve 7, and ultrasonic vibration is effected on water by means of an atomizing device 10 located below the water tank 11 to atomize water. Air is caused to pass through a ventilation flue 12 from a blower 9 and fed to a mist pass cylinder 13, and atomized water is discharged with a force through a discharge port 1. Meanwhile, by rotating a gear 2 mounted on the shaft of a motor 3, the discharge port 1 is rotated to uniformly moisten a room. By means of an ultrasonic sensor 5 mounted to the discharge port 1, the presence of an obstruc tion, e.g. a wall, furniture, in the discharge direction of the discharge port 1 is detected. A detecting signal therefrom is sent to a control part 6, when an obstruction is present, the atomizing device 10 is turned OFF to prevent a mist from being sprayed on the wall and furniture. When an obstruction is absent, the discharge port 1 is rotated in a state that the atomizing device 10 is turned ON. |
