PURPOSE:To suppress the deterioration of signal except the noise by obtaining a corrected noise estimate image by applying the inverse Fourier transform to a spectrum image processed by a threshold value processing means and subtracting the corrected noise estimate image from a deteriorated image in order to obtain a corrected image. CONSTITUTION:An image correcting device is provided with a noise estimate image calculation means 2, a Fourier transform means 3, a threshold value processing means 4, an inverse Fourier transform means 5, a corrected image calculation means 6. A noise estimate signal (n') is produced from a deteriorated image (g) and undergoes the Fourier transform for each area as well as a thresh old value process. At the same time, the inverse Fourier transform is applied to the signal (n') for production of a corrected noise estimate image (n''). Then the image (n'') is subtracted from the image (g) for production of a corrected image f'' = g - n''. Thus it is possible to suppress the deterioration of signals except the noise and to obtain a corrected image approximate to an ideal image. |
